Wakefield Pride is a vibrant celebration that attracts approximately 15,000 attendees. Our dedicated team of volunteer Pride Makers plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe execution of our event. Without their support, we wouldn’t be able to make a positive impact on LGBTQ+ communities across Wakefield.
Who Can Volunteer for Wakefield Pride?
Applications are open to everyone, regardless of faith, race, ethnicity, ability, sexuality, and gender identity.
To volunteer, you must be 18+.

What are the Common Duties?
- Assisting in Setup (relocating fences, barriers, etc.)
- Providing Information to Attendees
- General Stewarding (Festival, Parade, etc.)
- Participating in Litter-Picking
- Managing Queues
- Fundraising (On-the-day and Year-Round)
